In May of 2010, American rapper, Nas, and Jamaican reggae artist, Damian Marley released their 1st album Distant Relatives, with the hard-hitting beats and lyrics of Nas, and the signature instrumentation and musicianship of Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley.
The album title refers both to the bond between the artists and the connection to their African ancestry, which inspired the album’s music and lyrics.
