Efforts to combat HIV/AIDS should include a focus on prevention, care, education, and access to medication. All are necessary to fight the epidemic. Strategies include national prevention campaigns such as education about safe sex, preventing mother-to-child transmission, teaching how to administer the medication and learning the importance of good food nutrition while taking ARVs.
