When (RED) first met Samuel he says he felt pretty sorry for himself. Samuel wondered "why me" when his mom first told him the news about him being HIV positive.
After his doctors prescribed his antiretroviral treatment, Samuel soon gained strength and was able to go back to school. In Lesotho, financing from the Global Fund and (RED) helps provide the two daily antiretroviral (ARV) pills people like Sam need to stay alive. One day, he says, “I would like to find a cure for HIV and AIDS.”
